The Fairhaven Needs a New Name

Norwich, CT - On Monday, construction began on 51-53 Broadway, one of three sites involved in the revitalization project of downtown Norwich announced by Stackstone Group earlier this month.  The downtown project will include ground-floor commercial space for future businesses and luxury residential units at each location.

One of the properties located at 26-28 Broadway is currently known as The Fairhaven. In the past, the building has also been named the Buckingham, and the Del-Hoff Hotel.  In an effort to bring new life to The Fairhaven and involve the community in its rebirth, Stackstone Group has launched a “Name The Fairhaven” contest. Now through October 1st, individuals can go online to offer suggestions for the newly modernized building.  The best submissions will be featured online for community voting, and prizes will be awarded to the winner.

“The Fairhaven has long standing roots in Norwich. Therefore, our team felt it was important to give the building a new name that would symbolize the past, present and future. What better way to do that than to include the community in that process and do so in a fun way,” says Victoria Romero, Chief Marketing Officer of Stackstone Group.
